PRINCIPAUTE DE MONACO

ABOUT MIIFED

Come and join us!

Whether you are an engineer full of ideas, an industry player looking for global business opportunities, or a fusion researcher wanting to keep up-to date on the latest ITER achievements and developments, this international conference offers an excellent opportunity for exchanging views and experiences, while forming valuable international business relationships.

Join us at MIIFED 2013 in Monaco, on 2-4 December 2013, under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

What you can learn

The conference will present the latest progress of the ITER project. The seven ITER Members (China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the USA) are currently building the biggest fusion reactor ever in Saint Paul-lez-Durance, France. The first experiments are scheduled for 2020.

The truly international MIIFED event will also present major scientific and technological developments in the field of fusion and energy worldwide. The aim is to encourage synergies between energy-related research and technology developments. Together with the exhibition, the different conference sessions will facilitate learning, networking and partnering with other research actors.

The event will also review project feedback so far with a view to stimulating further involvement and

networking, in particular among industry representatives and researchers from the seven ITER Members.

What it means for you

During three days, you will be mingling high-level decision-makers, experienced researchers, international industry players and ITER staff. You will therefore have ample opportunity to meet reliable

partners for your projects and to take advantage of what is on offer:

• Plenary sessions with the main players in fusion and energy

• Presentation of the status of the ITER project

• Round tables with scientists, industry players and representatives from the ITER Domestic Agencies

• Presentations of research projects for the participants and the press

• Meetings with potential partners for networking and research-technology synergies

• Exhibition of fusion and energy technologies.

Participants will have the possibility of proposing sessions in the Participants’ Forum. Forum sessions will be organized on a ‘bottom-up’ basis by the participants themselves. A call for proposals targeting potential contributors will be published on this conference website.
